A Jump From Kid Cudi Days
I was thinking of how fast the time went by.
When he was still at high school in 2009, I drove him to school via Alma Street in Palo Alto, California, and was repeatedly about to crash in the morning rush hours because of his music through iPOD loudly in the car.
One of his favorite music at that time was Kid Cudi's "Pursuit of Happiness".
My child told me about many nice musicians like Cudi at that moment, but I never knew he had a dream to be a singer songwriter. Around 2009, the atmosphere around Palo Alto was full of iPOD, iPhone,and iTunes world. Almost everyone regardless of age was crazy about them. My child ,without exception, dived into the deep ocean of music, music and music.
Although he enjoyed classical music at a concert in San Francisco, or Stanford, we even went to Saltzburg musical festival for music in 2001. He was more attracted to play the theatrical performances in his childhood, so we watched many performances in San Francisco, Redwood City, or Boston or New York. Stanford University used to hold a music event on Independence Day celebration with fireworks plus BBQ, so we enjoyed that event annually.
He was also very much attracted to write poetry and novels through school days, and had a high honor with them always.
However, until the age of 19, he never tried to play piano seriously.
A change came to his life all of sudden when he was 19. He just concentrated on playing piano 'day and night'. Chuckle..Probably he played piano for 19 hours a day. Chuckle.
At that moment, we lived in the woods, so no one bothered him. Those days he was living in his dream world.
As I thought that people never play piano well unless they started early, this is the very surprising, but good though.
When I listen to Kid Cudi's music in the quiet room, it sounds nice.
